SEC Chair Gensler Supports Final Rules on Beneficial Ownership

Under the Dodd-Frank Act, Congress gave the SEC the authority to shorten the beneficial ownership reporting deadline. Today’s adoption makes use of that Dodd-Frank authority. That’s why I’m glad that, in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, Congress came back to the issue of Schedule 13D filings.
