Frew & Frank to Discuss Business Valuation for Estate Planning in Upcoming AICPA Webinar

Andrew B. Frew, ASA, ABV and Atticus L. Frank, CFA, ABV will be presenting the topic “Business Valuation for Estate Planning: An $80 Billion Update” in an AICPA webinar on Thursday, October 26, 2023. They will discuss how proposed tax changes could significantly affect estate planning for FLPs, LLCs, and privately held businesses. Attendees will learn about these changes and other updates affecting estate tax valuation.

Andy Frew, Vice President, has nearly 25 years of business valuation experience. He has been involved with hundreds of valuation and related engagements in numerous industries including oilfield services, construction and building materials, food and beverage distribution, and retail. He values businesses and business interests for financial reporting, gift and estate tax, corporate tax, corporate M&A, and employee stock ownership plan purposes. As part of his financial reporting practice, he provides public and private clients with fair value opinions and related assistance pertaining to goodwill and other intangible assets, stock-based compensation, and illiquid financial assets. As a member of the firm’s Energy Industry Team, Andy is a regular contributor to Mercer Capital’s Energy Valuation Insights Blog. Prior to joining Mercer Capital, Andy was a senior manager in the Houston office of Forvis (formerly BKD). Andy began his valuation career in 2000 with HFBE, Inc.
